Description of the video:
Hello and welcome to Career Services at Indiana University. We can't wait to be a part of your journey. Every student at IU Bloomington has a career coach ready to support them through individualized one-on-one coaching. Our career coaches are here to guide you whether you're exploring different career options, preparing for internships, or polishing your resume. Imagine having a personal mentor who understands your goals and helps you achieve them. That's what our career coaches do. They provide personalized guidance, share valuable resources, and help you build the skills you need to stand out in the job market. Now let's hear from some Hoosiers that came before you. I recommend that everyone gets a appointment at the career coaching services because it really provides you with more guidance and confidence when you're going through your career and internship search. Personally, it helped me get more confidence through my interviews when I'm doing mock interviews with my career coach, and it provided me with useful feedback that ultimately led me to getting to internship offers. After a semester of being in a major that I kind of committed to without knowing that that's what I wanted to do, I decided to meet with a career coach because I was feeling unsure and they were able to help me a lot. My career coach helped me reflect more on myself and what my values are and what I'm interested in, while also just making me aware of how much IU actually has to offer that I didn't even know about. More resources and more, more actual programs that I just didn't know existed and even more careers that I didn't know I could be or do and gave me kind of a new sense of confidence and also just helped direct me to be able to find what I wanted to do. And I was able to change my major and I'm much happier where I'm at. So if you're feeling unsure or stuck in what you're doing, don't hesitate at all. Like the career coach will get you good.
