Clinical Psychological Science uses a multidisciplinary and scientific approach to develop and establish best practices for the treatment of psychological suffering and for the promotion of mental health. That is, this field is a bridge between the research in psychological and brain sciences to the practice of mental health care. In addition to the study of psychology, this major includes courses in data analytics and modeling, life sciences, and public health.
While this major is designed to prepare students for graduate study in Clinical Psychology and related fields, it also prepares students to be competitive for positions in the field of psychology that do not require a graduate degree.
