A Human Biology degree offers students a holistic view of humanity, which involves a scientific understanding of human biology within a social and cultural context.
The Human Biology program offers two degrees, the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.), and appeals to students of a variety of different backgrounds or interdisciplinary interests. This degree is flexible and pairs well with many other programs with Human Biology majors often double majoring.
The B.A. degree takes a holistic approach and focuses on biological foundations and intersects studies of the human organism with social sciences.
The B.S. degree is more heavily science-oriented and extends the investigation of human biology to the sub-cellular and molecular level. It also places human biology in the larger context of biological and biochemical mechanisms.
