The major in Human Resource Management within the Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs offers students the opportunity to study the keys of successful hiring, ways to build complex compensation systems, the value of diversity, and fundamental issues in employment law – taught by faculty with years of professional HR experience.
Students can be certified as an HR professional while they are still in school by taking the Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) exam — an excellent opportunity to distinguish yourself in the job market and demonstrate what you’ve learned.
