Computer Science BA
Computer science is the systematic study of computation, hardware systems, software systems, and networks, combined with the design and analysis of algorithms and data structures. It is the foundation upon which all branches of information technology rest. As a computer science major, you will learn to design and implement systems, manage, and visualize data, control robots, extract information from vast volumes of data, and build the tools used by other IT professionals.
Students may pursue a B.A. through the College of Arts and Sciences. The Computer Science B.S. is offered by the School of Informatics and Computing. The Computer Science B.A. students acquire additional liberal arts skills, including foreign language. These skills are valued by the business community, especially for working in creative teams.
