The Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture, & Design offers a Bachelor of Art degree in Studio Art and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art.
With the Studio Art Bachelor of Art (B.A.) degree, students gain a broad set of skills while pursuing intellectual discovery in the arts. Students can choose to focus on one of nine studio areas:
Or students can also choose to study a wide range of these artistic disciplines (declaring a particular focus is not required). No portfolio is required for admission to the studio art B.A. degree. Instead, students are given the space to develop their technical skills and broaden their theoretical and historical knowledge to reach their full creative potential while completing their coursework.
All Studio Art B.A. students take the same five creative core courses as a foundation and can explore upper-level courses of interest. Overall, the program is designed to help students see, formulate, and articulate visual concepts through the manipulation of forms, materials, and ideas.
