A Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies allows students to explore topics of history and culture in the United States and the larger Americas. This major connects people, ideas, and methods across several humanities and social sciences.
Students who study this degree will learn to take a comparative and interdisciplinary approach to critically analyze the historical, political, social, and cultural dimensions of the Americas. The degree’s international focus will also teach students to examine the United States in a global context.
Coursework includes lots of flexibility within this discipline, where students can explore several course topics of their choosing from comparative American identities to U.S. Movements and Institutions and more.
