Art history studies the discipline and methods of the work of art within the period and culture in which it was produced. Students will explore the significance and meaning of art and visual experience throughout human history across the globe. Art history will investigate how art and material culture engage the social world and give form to human imagination.
An Art History allows you to focus on themes, historical time frames, and geographic regions of the world. When pursuing a major in Art History, you work with faculties renowned for their ability as researchers and teachers.
If the student would like to supplement this degree with a Master's degree, consider enrolling in the Library Science 4 + 1 Master of Library Science, where you can add a Master's degree to your bachelor's degree with only one additional year of classes.
