Jewish Studies is the study of the history, culture, and life of Jews and Judaism. It is open to students from all backgrounds. The Jewish culture is made up of many cultures and languages; its study is an excellent way to obtain an outstanding liberal arts education.
Through rigorous interdisciplinary study of Jewish communities, texts, cultures, and history, Jewish Studies students use the methods of the humanities, arts, and social sciences to provide the foundations of an internationally informed and interdisciplinary liberal arts education. Jewish Studies alumni pursue careers in fields as diverse as education, political activism, administration, scholarly research, journalism, business, public relations, medicine, social work and the clergy.
