SPEA has one of the few Policy Analysis programs of its kind. Students in this major develop sought-after skills they then use to evaluate, and develop policy. This is a hands-on major that combines the study of finance, public policy, economics and law. Students use advanced statistical modeling to measure the real-world impact of policy decisions. Before graduating, all students in this major are required to participate in a professional field experience, giving them an opportunity to begin building their professional credentials.
Policy Analysis majors will study: Statistical Modeling, Financial and Cost-Benefit Analysis, Case Studies in Policy Analysis, Management Science and Operations Research, Public Policy, Microeconomics, Public Law.
